The Mainstreaming Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) in Fishery and Marine Sector in the Arafura and Timor Seas Region was  jointly organized by the ATSEA-2 and the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) Resource Facility was held last 10 June 2021 via Zoom.  The objectives of the webinar is to:

  • Discuss how gender and inclusion lens can further be applied in fishery sector to ensure that minorities’ and women’s roles are appreciated and that they are empowered to further participate in the development of sustainable fishery and marine resource management
  • To present case study on experiences, challenges, and guidance in mainstreaming gender and inclusion in fishery and marine sector.
